Discounts
Discount prices are offered for entire pallets and for the quantities specified in quotations or bids. Percentage discounts or fixed prices depend on the extent of business that has been conducted and is anticipated between the customer and Samhentir.Charge accounts and payment terms
Samhentir offers normal credit terms to each customer, i.e. a charge account with a specified limit, depending on consent by the Finance Director and Managing Director.Applications for charge accounts must be made using the designated form. By signing this form, the applicant gives consent for Samhentir to seek information about the relevant company and the applicant him- or herself from Creditinfo.is.
If having a charge account is not approved, payment may be made in cash or by credit card. For larger cash transactions, instalment payment plans are available through VISA and Europay.
The following rules apply to Samhentir charge accounts:
- Payment is due by the 10th day of the month following purchase.
- If in default 15 days or longer past due date, a charge account will be closed and a claim sent to Intrum for debt collection.
- Custom orders and manufacturing are billed as of the arrival date of the goods. Stocked goods are billed on the day of delivery from Samhentir’s warehouse.
- Samhentir charges the maximum legal penalty interest on any purchase not paid by the due date. Cf. the Central Bank of Iceland, www.sedlabanki.is.
